PoliFAB, the research centre open to innovation
A bridge between university and business
STMicroelectronics, a global leader in the semiconductor industry, and 51¸£Àû have been collaborating in micro and nanotechnology research and development since 2016. The five-year expansion of the collaboration in 2021 has enabled PoliFAB to equip its clean room with state-of-the-art equipment to foster research and development in MEMS (Micro Electro-Mechanical Systems), motion control, power electronics, galvanic isolation and Sensor sysTEms with Advanced Materials.
PoliFAB is the micro- and nano-technology infrastructure of 51¸£Àû, created to provide the highest technological standards for a wide range of applications: photonics, micro and nanoelectronics, MEMS, biotechnologies, advanced materials and nanotechnology.
PoliFAB thus represents a center of excellence enable to attract talented researchers, PhDs and students and creating opportunities for entrepreneurs and startups.
